The animation was actually pretty good- especially for being made in the timespan of a week. However, the audio is terrible (too low in both quality and volume) and it wasn't particularly funny especially since the end was a predictable explosion.
I understand that you only did this in a week, but I don't believe that I should give it more credit than it truly deserves because of that fact. :P

I completely understand and respect your opinion. Honestly I agree with you with all of it and also thank you for explaining your opinion and giving your constructive criticism.

The animation seems pretty unfinished and rough, but still looks pretty great despite that. Also the lines look a little pixelated, but I'm sure that's flash's fault and not yours. :P
Overall, it's pretty nice (although I'm not a fan of the music) but like I said, it feels unfinished and that takes away slightly. The effort's appreciated though, since it's an entire two minutes of straight up animation with no tweening. That stuff's hard to do.

It's not completely perfect, but either way nice job. :D

hahaha, i know its faaaaaaaaaaar from perfect, but i finally did something ive always wanted to do which is make a short film, so im still pretty excited either way. Thanks for taking the time out to critique my work i definitely appreciate it :)

The editing is nice, however I don't really think this should be here. It doesn't really have anything interesting, and appears to just a promo of the same picture being edited. If you're submitting a movie, it must have a certain quality or something special about it, otherwise it will appear out of place and will likely not be accepted by the community. :/

DIVISION8STUDIOS responds:

I solely created everything in this promo (art and music), and one of it's purposes is to showcases my graphic art, 3D modeling, animation, video editing, guitar, bass, drums, synth and audio production (as I co-founded Suncrest Recording Studios) abilities to the community.

This is our standard company intro for our games produced by our games division, it's redeeming quality is to create interest in our channel here (an animated logo). We have an established company image, and this is designed to help establish our vibe and to provide a teaser video for things to come.

If you really watch it, you see there are literally dozens of different images used. To make them all fit together as one, is kind of the point of professional video editing. Also if you notice that 80% of the imagery is either short clips or stills from 3D animated scenes. Lot's of work went into the creation of the files used.

Do you see a web address for any websites? No.

As if all the pornographic media found here have such redeeming qualities.

So, about the program you could always just download the flash trial. :P Also there's a free animation program called Toon Boom. I've never really used it myself, but I guess it would be a good compromise.
Also I heard that flash became a subscription too, so if you like Flash in the trial you could always just do that. .w.

Anyway, you explained that the animation itself was your first one which is pretty okay considering that. However, one thing that I would work on would be pacing. It's someone that I myself haven't really been practicing, but it's always good to practice with that. Also, I would suggest making the music lower so it's in the background and adding sound effects to not only add emphasis on certain things, but to also make it more clear of what's happening. :>

Otherwise, congratulations on your first animation. owo

KozyCat responds:

I feel dumb for not knowing about the Flash trial. I'll look into that. Also, thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to work on pacing.

I KNEW that voice sounded familiar, and then I read the description. |D
Anyway, at first I didn't really find it funny but as it went on I found myself fully laughing near the end. Also the animation and art style added a lot to it as well.

mattyburrito responds:

thanks man! glad some hit with you haha

At first I thought this was pretty funny and I like the animation itself a lot. The issue I'd like to point out is that the audio got really repetitive as the video went on. What I would suggest is to change the pitch every time it plays (since I'm assuming you took it from the actual sources) to prevent that from happening. :P
Otherwise, noice job man.

maulsmash responds:

Thanks! The plan was to use different takes on audio. The repetitiveness to me worked from the humor aspect so I kept it.
